I've seen this picture many times crossing the Queensborough Bridge. I decided to go up to this point on the bridge and get this shot. Easier said than done. First of all getting up to this point is half the fun. Then you have to go over the rail to get out of the way of traffic. Next you need a 300mm (f. 2.8 preferred) on a tripod. Then you have to wait for a stream of traffic to pass by because the bridge shakes. Then the NYPD shows up because they got a report that someone with a camera is trying to jump off the bridge. Thankfully I knew the Officers that showed up and they knew what I was doing. I was working on an essay on bridges around New York. Well at the end of it all I got the picture I wanted. I don't think you can get this picture anymore because other buildings are built around them. ISO 800, 1/250 sec. @ F56-8.0.
